Welcome to our new Hamlyn Banks Primary School website!
Hello and welcome to the new Hamlyn Banks Primary School website. Hamlyn Banks Primary School is located in the Geelong suburb of Hamlyn Heights and this year we celebrate our 49th year of providing outstanding educational opportunities to our local community. Our school is located in Chaucer Street and has extensive outdoor areas surrounding our well resourced and maintained buildings. In the coming months we will welcome the building of an additional Multi Purpose Arts venue and the extensive refurbishment of our middle and senior school learning spaces.
I am very proud to have the opportunity to be Principal of Hamlyn Banks and to lead a wonderful team of highly talented Teaching and Educational Support staff. The ongoing development of our students is our primary concern. At Hamlyn Banks Primary School we have a clear focus on the importance of explicitly teaching English and Mathematics through a focussed instructional approach that is designed to meet the learning needs of all students.
We are supported by a wonderful school community and effective school to home partnerships are highly valued. Our students are provided with a diverse range of programs to become involved in ranging from singing and instrumental music opportunities to sporting events and community service experiences.
At this time of the year I know that many families are finalising decisions about which school to enrol their child at for the 2010 Prep year. Our school offers a strong Prep program with experienced teaching staff that has created a vibrant setting for our new students to thrive in.
